Small Savings lead to Big Lessons
The miniature savings program was created by Buyobo Table Tennis Club students to teach financial literacy, responsibility, and the benefits of saving. Through hands-on experience with saving, bookkeeping, record-keeping, and reporting, students develop skills in financial responsibility and leadership while helping meet everyday needs at the club, such as school supplies, table tennis equipment, and water and snacks for after practice. Inspired by the savings and record-keeping practices many have seen through their families' involvement with WMI, The Ka Box gives students the opportunity to put these lessons into practice themselves.
